Texas Volleyball

Girls did a great job at The Texas Tornados Warm-Up #1. The Mad Frogs from Plano snagged 1st place and we were the runner ups!

New season and new team. My daughter made the 12 Mizuno team at the Texas Tornados! She’s having a great time!

Willowbrook Sports provided the facility for us to play. Way to go girls you did great! First match you were just waking up when we played the Washington County Jr.’s but then you did awesome by winning the next two matches. Moms thanks for contributing to the food and snacks the girls loved it. Coleen did an awesome job on the hair ribbons with “12 Black Got that” slogan. Thanks to Leslie for the great job on the bags. The names, numbers and Tornado logos turned out perfect. I think the girls didn’t like the huge bag at first and wanted back packs but I think now that they’ve  had a chance to use them, they like them. Well I know I do, because I can fit cameras and everything I need in one bag! Our next tournament is January 21st so get ready.

Don’t forget about the Scorekeeping and Referee Clinic at the Tornados Friday January 19th from 5:30 to 9:30 and get certified. Brenda needs a break from scorekeeping. If you can’t make the clinic, Brenda told us about the website that has the online scorekeeper’s clinic.  The clinic is at the bottom of the page after the copies of score sheets.

Here is a picture in the Trailer with the girls looking at Christmas lights in the neighborhood. Oh my gosh, what a great time we had at the party! The girls had so much fun playing dirty santa and exchanging gifts. Many thanks to Ray and Kelly for inviting us to their home. Thanks Ray for the great trailer ride, the decorations were magnificent! Oh by the way the entertainment chasing the dog was hilarious, I’ll see if I can send you a video on it.
